Sarangan lake which is also known as sand lake where it located at the foot naturally Mount Lawu , in District Plaosan , Magetan , East Java . Located approximately 16 kilometers west of the city Magetan.  This vast lake of about 30 hectares and 28 meters berkedalaman. With temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius , Telaga Sarangan be able to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
Telaga Sarangan a mainstay attractions of Magetan city.  Around the lake there are two hotels five-star, 43 jasmine-class hotels, and 18 cottages next to dozens of tourism stalls. Visitors can also enjoy the beautiful Sarangan by riding around the lake, or riding a fast boat. Sarangan lake also has a boat rental service and rickshaws water.
